BWL Covid-19 Policy

Coronavirus Notice

Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our clients and staff. For this reason we are currently instigating increased hygiene procedures and would kindly ask that you observe the following precautions:

Above all else, if you are exhibiting symptoms of a fever, persistent cough or shortness of breath, we would kindly ask that you cancel your appointment, immediately return home and contact NHS direct on 111 or online at 111.nhs.uk.

Similarly if you have returned from an affected area, including but not limited to China, South Korea, Iran, USA, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, or anywhere else in Europe within the last 14 days, regardless of whether you are currently exhibiting the above symptoms or not, we would kindly ask that you cancel your appointment, immediately return home and contact NHS direct on 111 or online at 111.nhs.uk.

BWL are currently instigating a policy to avoid the spread of germs and contamination of surfaces within our office. For your protection we are therefore inviting all clients to wash their hands in the facilities provided at the rear of our client waiting room both upon arrival at our office and immediately prior to leaving. All workstations and meeting rooms within the office are being regularly cleaned and disinfected. You may therefore notice the smell of bleach while in the office. If this makes you feel uncomfortable please do let us know.

In view of the fact that Government advice is to avoid direct contact wherever possible we have instigated a policy at BWL to no longer shake hands and have asked all staff maintain a distance of at least 1 meter from everyone, insofar as is possible. We apologise for any offence caused in this regard. We have also rearranged our waiting area and conference rooms to ensure visitors to accommodate this social distancing.

Finally should you feel unable to attend a face-to-face meeting at our office for any reason we will endeavour to arrange any necessary meeting via telephone conference. Should you wish to take advantage of this facility please do not hesitate to let us know. You will appreciate of course this is an extremely fluid situation and Government advice concerning appropriate conduct is likely to change repeatedly in the near future. We would therefore invite you to maintain regular contact with your Solicitor concerning any upcoming appointments, meetings or deadlines so that we can ensure we continue to provide you with the highest possible standards of service while simultaneously making adequate provision for your immediate health and safety needs. Whatever further measures are put in place at a National or Local level to combat the spread of infection we guarantee staff at BWL will remain contactable.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this notice and for your co-operation and understanding.
