Occupiers Liability
Unfortunately, many accidents happen as a result of the state of dangerous or unsafe premises. From farmer’s fields to supermarkets to residential houses, it is the responsibility of the occupier of the premises to ensure that it is in a safe condition and does not pose a threat to those who visit.
This applies not only to lawful visitors but also to those who may have been guilty of trespassing. You may therefore still be able to make a claim for compensation if you did not have permission to be on the premises.
Law passed by Parliament states that occupiers must take reasonable care to ensure visitors will be safe in using their premises. If an occupier fails to carry out this duty and an innocent party is injured as a result, Beor Wilson Lloyd can step in to help.
