Accidents at Work

It is a sad fact of life that every year millions of people suffer injuries at work resulting from accidents which were not their fault and which could have been avoided. Employers have a responsibility to ensure employees work in a safe environment and most work hard to achieve this.

Despite this however incidents still frequently occur, often because employers fail to comply fully with the duty they owe their employees. When this happens and employees are injured, the injured employee is entitled to seek compensation for his or her injury.

Employees injured at work may be entitled to compensation in respect of the injuries they suffered. In these circumstances it is the employer’s liability insurance provider who deals with the claim and compensates the claimant when a successful claim is made.
