Faulty Goods

In the UK, consumers have a number of rights in respect of faulty goods. Various laws have been introduced over the years which allow consumers to obtain a repair, a replacement product or even a full refund for goods which are either of an unsatisfactory quality or not fit for purpose, depending on the individual circumstances of the case.

These rules apply to all manner of transactions, including hire purchase sales and the supply of services.

This may be the case even when suppliers argue otherwise, for example by claiming that a warranty or returns period has elapsed. This however is not always true so it is important to seek expert advice to ensure you do not lose out.

You may also be able to claim personal injury compensation if a faulty good has caused you to suffer an injury. If you or a member of your family have had the misfortune to experience such an event, our team of personal injury solicitors can guide you through the claims process.
